Logan Buchholz and Christopher Hein in Partnership with Communities Organized for Relational Power in Action
Monterey, California
COPA, Communities Organized for Relational Power in Action, aims to support diverse groups of people through effective organizing and leadership development. They work under an institutional-based model for organizing and are composed of 26 different member organizations ranging from congregations to schools, non-profits, and unions. Currently, COPA’s experienced leadership is nearing retirement age. Our project aims to preserve some of these undocumented stories that serve as the foundation and heart of COPA as a leadership development organization.
We will conduct a series of interviews, condense them down, and add them to a Knight Lab digital storymap which we will embed into COPA’s current website. Our digital storymap will enhance the COPA website and potentially serve as a catalyst for more digital representation within the organization.
