Partner Organization: Inspiritus Middle Tennessee

Inspiritus guides individuals and families on a path from surviving to thriving. They empower those whose lives have been disrupted to discover their strengths and resilience, accompanying them as they grow into vibrant contributors to their community.

Project Description
Nashville is a rapidly gentrifying community with changing demographics. Early residents are being pushed out or burdened by rising rent prices. Inspiritus works to assist those who are struggling with economic and social burdens. The Everett team will be going to Nashville to canvas the Buena Vista neighborhood. They will be passing out pamphlets detailing some of the history of the community and ways to get involved in the work Inspiritus is doing, as well as inviting the residents to a Meet Your Neighbor style block party. There will be food, booths advertising Inspiritus’s services and from other service organizations, and community leaders speaking to the attendees. The Everett team will be collecting demographic information and talking to residents about what kinds of services they would like to see more of. This information will then be passed on to Inspiritus for them to use in their program development. The data we will collect through canvassing will support Inspiritus in providing more tailored services to the community’s needs.
